Hands on Tukwila, September 10, 2011
The City of Tukwila Volunteer Program has scheduled a fall “Hands on Tukwila” event for Saturday, September 10th from 10am-2pm. September 11, 2011, marks the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, as well as a federally recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance.
We are looking for community volunteers and partners for a community clean-up along the Duwamish River in Tukwila as part of this national 9/11 community service movement. Volunteers will be clearing weeds, sheet mulching, spreading wood chips and planting native plants. If you, or someone you know, is interested in volunteering on a clean-up team please reply to this email, or give me a call at the Tukwila Community Center.
Thanks,
